Intex Aqua i4+ is a new Android smartphone with a 5-inch display

Intex-Aqua-i4Intex has now launched a new affordable Android smartphone in the Indian market which it calls the Aqua i4+. It is priced at Rs 7,600 and will go up against the recently announced Micromax Canvas Juice A77 which costs Rs 7,999.

This smartphone from Intex has a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixel) resolution display and it is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor which comes with 512MB of RAM. It does seem a little underpowered when compared to the 1.3GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM on the Micromax Canvas A77.

The Intex Aqua i4+ further includes an 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash along with a secondary front facing 1.3 megapixel camera. This is where the smartphone wins in its battle against the competitor from Micromax.

In terms of the connectivity the device is equipped with 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The company has also mentioned that it will support OTA updates.

The Aqua i4+ is equipped with a 2,000mAh battery which the company claims will provide a talk time of up to 7 hours and standby time of up to 220 hours. It has 4GB of built-in storage capacity and supports expandable storage up to 32GB using a microSD card.

The smartphone includes a motion sensor, proximity sensor and light sensor. It will come pre-loaded with apps like WeChat, OLX, Matrabhasha, Intex Cloud, Intex Play and Hungama. The Aqua i4+ runs comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
