World’s most expensive bed comes with USD 168000 price tag

British mattress maker Savoir Beds has launched a ‘Royal Bed’ that cost 168,000 dollars this week in London, calling it as an investment in a good night’s sleep.

The beds are limited- only 60 will be made – and each will take 700 hours of labour. It has curled Latin American horse tail, pure Mongolian cashmere, and 2575km of specially-woven silk, media reported.

The companies managing director Alistair Hughes told media that the bed was about ensuring a good sleep and you could also have your family crest, initials or emblem embroidered into the mattress by the Royal School of Needlework.

The 17th and 18th century inspired British beds will be unveiled at Kensington Palace on Thursday.
